What is the SLE?
- SLE is the only continental professional organization of linguists and, besides the Comité International Permanent des Linguistes, the only international linguistic association.
- SLE is a democratically constituted organization. The Executive Committee, including the President, the Secretary and the Treasurer, are responsible to the Annual Members Meeting, which takes place at the annual conferences. If you want to engage in SLE activities, you are welcome as a candidate for an office.
- SLE Annual Meetings are professionally organized high-quality conferences that cover all of linguistics. They are the events of choice if you want to be updated on current work in different subdisciplines and in different countries. The conferences are held at renowned universities all over Europe, every year in another country.
