CONFERENCE VENUE

All the activities of the Bordeaux SLE meeting will be held at the Bordeaux Montaigne University, Université Bordeaux Montaigne, Domaine Universitaire, Esplanade des Antilles, F-33607 Pessac Cedex (https://www.u-bordeaux-montaigne.fr/en/contact/access-map.html). The Bordeaux Montaigne University campus is located 6 km away from the centre of Bordeaux, in the municipality of Pessac. From the city centre it can be reached by tram B (stop Montaigne – Montesquieu). Through the courtesy of Bordeaux Métropole Tourist Office all the participants of the SLE meeting will have access to free public transport in Bordeaux during the conference (26-29 August).

PROGRAMME

All the information concerning the scientific programme can be found in the tab Schedule. You will receive a printed copy of the short schedule with your conference pack at the Reception Desk. All changes to the schedule will be announced on the information board at the registration as well as in the tab Schedule-changes. The conference app will be kept up-to-date.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Oral presentations are allocated 25 minutes. The actual presentation should be 20 minutes, leaving 5 minutes for questions. A further 5 minutes are reserved for room changes.

The session rooms are located in the section H (Bâtiment H) of the Rosa Bonheur building, on ground and first floors.

POSTER SESSION

The poster session will take place on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 August, overlapping with the morning coffee breaks. The poster session takes place in Hall administratif, close to Registration Desk. The coffee break will be served at the Patio Rosa Bonheur.

SLE PRIZES

Prizes are awarded in the categories of

  • best presentation by a PhD student,
  • best presentation by a Postdoc,
  • best poster presentation.

The presentations will be reviewed by the members of the SLE 2025 Programme Committee present at the conference.

REGISTRATION

The Reception Desk is situated in Hall administratif, the main lobby of the Administration building. The opening times of the Reception Desk are as follows: Monday (25 Augustus) 16.00-18.00, Tuesday through Thursday (26-28 August): 8.30-18.00; Friday (29 August): 8.00-14.00.

Wi-fi

Wireless Internet is available in the venue either via Eduroam or a dedicated wifi connection. You will receive instructions upon arrival.

RECEIPTS AND CERTIFICATES

For receipt of payment please contact our Treasurer at sle.treasurer.uoa@gmail.com or in person. The SLE office will be located in room M002. Certificates of attendance will be sent after SLE 2025, in the first weeks of September.

WELCOME RECEPTION (included in the registration fee)

The welcome reception will take place on Tuesday, 26 August at 19:30, in the City Hall Bordeaux – Palais Rohan; Place Pey Berland. It is free for all participants but pre-registration is necessary.

LUNCHES AND COFFEES (included in the registration fee)

Buffet lunches as well as morning and afternoon coffee and snack will be served at Patio Rosa Bonheur.

For those who wish to grab a snack at the venue, there are coffee and snack machines at several points in the university building (Hall administratif, Bâtiment H ground floor).

CONFERENCE DINNER

The conference dinner will take place on Thursday 28th August, from 20:00 to 00:00 at Le Café Maritime (1, Quai Armand Lalande, 33300 Bordeaux).

The dinner is only open to pre-registered participants – please bring your dinner ticket with you; food and drinks are served between 20:00 and 22:00. We welcome non-registered participants to join us for a drink and a chat after 22:00.

PUBLISHERS
