Meeting Time: Morning departure from Bordeaux at 9:00AM

Return: Arrival in Bordeaux at approximately 6:00 PM

Enjoy a boat trip to the Île aux Oiseaux and its famous Cabanes Tchanquées, the iconic wooden huts on stilts. Savor fresh oysters paired with a glass of local white wine. Climb the majestic Dune du Pilat and take in an endless blue horizon: oyster farms and winding channels unfold, revealing wild islands that serve as bird sanctuaries… Time seems to stand still, offering a moment of pure bliss. The excursion starts with a visit to Château de La Brède. Nestled away from the village, Château de La Brède has stood at the heart of its estate since the 13th century. This former medieval fortress, with its uniquely angled walls, appears to rise gracefully from its surrounding water-filled moats. Today, the château is embraced by an expansive, tree-lined park. The estate, covering 150 hectares, is also designated as a Historic Monument, offering a glimpse into centuries of architectural and cultural heritage. After lunch, the tour continues with an immersive discovery of the renowned Sauternais vineyards. You will explore a prestigious wine estate, where you will gain insight into the winemaking process and enjoy a guided tasting session of the region’s typical wines. The tour concludes with a return to Bordeaux, arriving at approximately 6:00 PM.

Saint-Emilion is a quaint medieval village which boasts a rich heritage. An hour’s drive away from Bordeaux, this tour is the opportunity to discover this charming hilltop town in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region.

The first vineyard to have been listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, Saint-Emilion is known for its wine, its monuments, and its cobblestone roads.

You will depart from Bordeaux by bus, and begin with a visit to a château of the Saint-Emilion appellation. In the afternoon, venture in Saint-Emilion and explore its monuments: the monolithic church, the catacombs and the Trinity Chapel. Return to Bordeaux by bus.
